Welcome! I am using this blog to share our family's homeschooling thoughts and experiences.

THIS SCHOOL YEAR (2018-2019): Our oldest child, EL, finished her formal education in May 2017. She remains at home due to her special needs, and continues to learn with us when she is able. JJ is in 10th grade this year. We intend to homeschool him through High School, and are using a variety of different curriculum choices to complete this goal.

Please feel free to follow along....

Tourette Syndrome Awareness

In light of Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month, click below to a recent post on HE HOLDS MY RIGHT HAND to find out more about this disorder. My son, JJ, was diagnosed at the age of 5, and it has caused some challenges in our home school that we have had to work through. For example, learning a new concept in Math causes anxiety and increases his tics. Writing can be difficult when his head and arms are having involuntary movements. Sitting still is often difficult as well. It has not been easy, but we continue to learn as we go, asking the Lord for wisdom and strength.

  1. I am homeschooling both of my TS daughters as well. One officially diagnosed with TS and one not yet "officially" diagnosed.

    1. Nice to meet another homeschool mom who has a child (children) with TS. I looked at your blog also. Are you still using My Father's World?
