Welcome! I am using this blog to share our family's homeschooling thoughts and experiences.

THIS SCHOOL YEAR (2018-2019): Our oldest child, EL, finished her formal education in May 2017. She remains at home due to her special needs, and continues to learn with us when she is able. JJ is in 10th grade this year. We intend to homeschool him through High School, and are using a variety of different curriculum choices to complete this goal.

Please feel free to follow along....

Finished ECC! Let the Summer Begin!

Last week was our last week of Exploring Countries and Cultures!

First, we finished up our study of Antarctica. The kids made paper plate penguins one day...

Then, we mostly finished the week out by doing some review of all the things we learned in ECC. It was fun to look through the kids notebooks full of all the worksheets, Science experiments, and drawings.

We are in gear now for a busy Summer schedule filled with Vacation Bible School, Library Summer Reading Program, swimming lessons, baseball, playdates with friends, and various other activities. In between our activities, we will continue to work on Math, Reading and Spelling so the kids will not lose what they have already learned this year.

We are looking forward to starting the next level of My Father's World curriculum in the Fall. We will be going through Creation to the Greeks. I'll try to continue updating this blog throughout the Summer with some of our activities, but it probably won't be on a weekly basis.

By the way, this is Coyote's first year playing team baseball. He isn't too thrilled with it all yet, due to some difficulties with catching and hitting the ball. But, I'm hoping he can work through it and still enjoy the season. He was definitely thrilled to be on the same team as his good friend, Ben!
